The Smitley desk is made in solid American Black Walnut throughout with high quality mortice and tenon type joints. The ski style legs and frame are enhanced with a deep shadow gap between the top of the frame and underside of the desk to create visual tension. The legs have a substantial spreader bar at the back to add rigidity to what is already a very strong structure. The top is made from four solid walnut boards and is jointed and pressure bonded. The Smitley desk is easy to maintain with its hand applied hard wax oiled finish.
